Guillermo J. Berretta is the Senior Managing Director leading the Investment Banking Services and Merger and Acquisition Practice at The Alta Group, Latin America. He has over two decades of experience in the equipment leasing and finance industry. Guillermo’s expertise includes: funding, M&A, portfolio management, leasing systems selections and implementations, and internal controls implementation. He also advises executive leadership on management strategy from business plan development to start up execution. Guillermo collaborates with clients on acquisitions, locating funding sources and capital opportunities, and completing formal valuations.

Prior to joining Alta, Guillermo was Chief Financial Officer of CIT Group Brazil, Argentina & Chile. Guillermo partnered on the turnaround of the Brazil unit including system implementation and procedures and successfully faced several challenges with Argentine´s default. After this South America leadership role, he returned to Argentina to take the CFO position of The Capita Corporation, contributing to raise the company to a leading position in the Argentine leasing market.

Guillermo holds a master’s degree in business administration from CEMA University of Buenos Aires, a CPA degree from Buenos Aires University, a Certificate of Independent Director from IGEP, member of the Global Network of Director Institutes. Guillermo is fluent in Spanish, English and speaks Portuguese.
