Independent Lender Launches Syndication Platform to Boost Capacity
SITUATION
An independent equipment finance company was nearing its bank line capacity and sought a way to create more room by syndicating select transactions. The company also needed a framework to pursue large, one-off opportunities outside its usual credit appetite or collateral expertise.
SOLUTION
Alta worked closely with company leadership to assess current processes, portfolio characteristics, and bank constraints. We introduced syndication best practices, identified operational gaps, and developed a set of procedures for selling both individual transactions and larger portfolio segments. Alta also drafted assignment and agency agreements and identified a targeted group of potential buyers aligned with the client’s deal profile. The firm is now positioned to execute syndication transactions and better manage capacity.
